Abstract: This is a randomised pilot study to investigate whether 1. the use of activity-promoting fitness games in virtual reality has an impact on early postoperative rehabilitation after colorectal tumour surgery; 2. the use of activity-promoting fitness games in virtual reality has an impact on the health status of patients 7 days and 30 days after surgery. 3. the use of activity-promoting fitness games in virtual reality has an impact on complication rates, length of hospital stay, psychosocial burden and patient satisfaction. 4. the use of activity-promoting fitness games in virtual reality in the early postoperative phase is accepted and adopted by patients and can be implemented in a hospital setting. 5. the study design used is suitable for a larger randomised study.
